DOLLY PARTON’S CHRISTMAS ON THE SQUARE

Director: Debbie Allen
Starring: Christine Baranski, Dolly Parton, Treat Williams, Jenifer Lewis, Josh Segarra, Jeanine Mason, Mary Lane Haskell

We all know the Hallmark Channel tries to rule Christmas with their round the clock programming. They now have competition as Netflix is fast on their trail with their own Christmas content. Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square is one of their new original movies. The town of Polarville is getting ready for the season, singing, dancing, and decorating the town square. Their joy is halted when Christine Baranski’s Regina stomps through the square with eviction notices. She warns everyone that she’s selling the entire town to a wealthy developer who wants to build a massive mall on the land. She’s ready to sell and displace everyone by Christmas Eve. Leave it to an angel played by Dolly Parton to work her magic and have this scrooge see the true meaning of Christmas.
