Mad Max Fury Road was the big winner of the evening taking home nine awards dominating in the action categories as well as the technical categories. Amy Schumer was also the winner of the MVP Award. Leonardo DiCaprio, Brie Larson, and Sylvester Stallone continue to take home the gold and are locking their chances at taking home the Oscar. If I could give an award for Best Speech of the night, it would be for Jacob Tremblay for Best Young Actor/Actress for Room. I hope he continues to act and stay grounded as he’s already a phenomenal young talent. At the end of the evening, Spotlight won for Best Picture and I hope it goes on to win the Oscar. George Miller won for Best Director for Mad Max Fury Road. I think this will be another year when Best Picture and Best Director are split at the Oscars. This was my first year voting for the Critic’s Choice awards and I can’t wait for next year!
