Just in time for Valentine’s Day is the clever new rom-com I Want You Back. If you’ve ever been in a relationship and then dumped out of nowhere, I think you’ll relate to the central characters at hand in I Want You Back. Charlie Day stars as Peter who was recently dumped by Gina Rodriguez’s Anne. Likewise, Jenny Slate’s Emma finds herself on the receiving end of the bad news with boyfriend Noah (Eastwood) breaks up with her as she doesn’t have her life in order. Both Peter and Emma don’t take the news very well and wallow in their sadness. They happen to work in the same building and find each other crying in the stairwell. It’s an unconventional type of meet-cute for these newly broken up individuals. Both are not in the best headspace declaring themselves the “Sadness Sisters” They devise a plot to break up their exes from their new relationships to win back their people. As Emma confidently states, “I really think I could break them up in no time” Streaming on Amazon Prime.
