When it comes to the Fast and the Furious movies, it’s best to leave logic and science out the window. There’s even commentary in the movie that these missions defy law and gravity. The same still applies to Fast X. The tenth entry is everything you love about this franchise cranked up to 10. The film flashes back to ten years prior with Dom (Diesel) and a CGI Paul Walker as Brian performing a massive bank heist hurling a safe all over Rio de Janeiro. This leads to Jason Momoa’s character, Dante, vowing revenge for what happened. Cut to present day and we find Dom contemplating his future and the legacy he wants to pass onto his son. He’s pulled back into the mess when his enemy Charlize Theron’s Cypher arrives on his doorstep bleeding out warning him about Dante and that a war is brewing. Dante knows family is everything to Dom, so the biggest way to get back at him is to go after everyone who loves and supports him. A massive terrorist attack in Rome is just beginning at taking out Dom’s team framing them for the chaos and destruction. In theaters May 19
