FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA

Director: George Miller
Starring: Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsowrth, Tom Burke, Alyla Browne, Lachy Hulme, John Howard, Angus Sampson, Nathan Jones, Josh Helman

Director George Miller wowed audiences when he reignited his Mad Max franchise with the wild ride that was Mad Max Fury Road. He’s now going back looking at the younger years of our heroine Furiosa in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. Anya Taylor-Joy takes over in the role of Furiosa from Charlize Theron as this story starts off with the character as a young girl kidnapped and taken away from her family. She’s being delivered as a gift to a madman called Dr. Dementus (Hemsworth). Despite being resourceful and smart, she’s stuck with Dr. Dementus despite her continual attempts to escape and find her way home again. The two of them along with Dementus’ biker gang find themselves at the Citadel run by Immortan Joe (Hulme). As the years pass by at the Citadel, Furiosa shaves her head and poses as a boy in order to survive.
