BAD MONKEY

Creator: Bill Lawrence
Starring: Vince Vaughn, Rob Delaney, Ronald Peet, Jodie Turner-Smith, Meredith Hagner, Natalie Martinez, Michelle Monaghan, Tom Nowicki, Alex Moffat, John Ortiz, Scott Glenn

Bill Lawrence is the genius creator of hit TV series like Scrubs, Shrinking, and Ted Lasso. He’s now turning to Carl Hiassan’s hit book “Bad Monkey” for his latest television project. Bad Monkey stars Vince Vaughn as Andrew Yancy who has recently been fired from the Key West Police Department. He enjoys the simple pleasure that nature has to bring in Key West even if it becomes strange and macabre, like when Yancy’s been given a severed hand with the middle finger pointed up. The narrator of this story explains that “trouble always comes looking for him.” Yancy takes it upon himself to find the identity of the severed hand. There’s a second narrative at play regarding a local man named Neville (Peet), whose simple beach life gets upended by a real estate development company, a local voodoo healer, and a pet monkey. The two narratives get intertwined in twisted ways you don’t see coming. Streaming on AppleTV+
