AVATAR: THE WAY OF WATER
Director: James Cameron
Starring: Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, CCH Pounder
James Cameron broke his own box office record upon the release of the first Avatar film in 2009. Thirteen years later, the sequel, Avatar: The Way of Water is hoping for the same type of box office and critical reception. Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana are back again as Jake and Neytiri and are now the proud parents of four children including their adopted daughter Kiri, who is the daughter of Sigourney Weaver’s character Grace Augustine from the first film. Weaver also plays Kiri. They’ve also taken in the only human child on the planet of Pandora. He’s named Spider (Jack Champion) and is the son of military leader, Quaritch (Stephen Lang). Pandora had been a place of peace until a group of Sky People return and their ships start destroying the terrain. Once again, they’re led by Quaritch whose body is now that of a Na’vi. His crew all take the form of the Na’vi to infiltrate Pandora. Jake and Neytiri hide their family on a different village full of water people.
