Last year Apple TV+ bought CODA out of the Sundance Film Festival, and it looks like they’re hoping to have another Sundance winner on their hands with Cha Cha Real Smooth from up-and-coming filmmaker Cooper Raiff. Raiff pulls triple duty here by writing, directing, and starring in the film as Andrew. He’s 22 years old living back at home with his mom (Leslie Mann) while trying to save some money. He works at a fast food joint called Meat Sticks but seems to find a new calling to be a party starter after attending a bar mitzvah. It’s there where he meets Domino (Dakota Johnson) She’s a young mom of an autistic girl who doesn’t quite seem happy with life. A friendship between them forms as she notices a connection he has with her daughter, Lola. They both need each other, but not in ways they may realize. In theaters and streaming June 17
