FEAR STREET: PROM QUEEN
Director: Matt Palmer

Netflix had big success when they turned to R.L Stine’s YA series “Fear Street” into a trilogy of movies in 2021. Now they’ve turned to “The Prom Queen” for their next Fear Street movie. India Fowler leads the film as Lori Granger. She’s one of six candidates hoping to be crowned prom queen at Shadyside High School. The rest of thecandidates are popular girls Tiffany (Strazza) and her Wolf Pack. Shadyside is a town thought to be cursed after centuries of trauma and horror. Even Lori wasn’t spared after a family tragedy. She’s mocked and teased and no one thinks she has a viable shot at being named Prom Queen. The night should be one of joyous celebration but it turns into terror when a masked killer wearing a long red leather cloak starts killing off the prom queen candidates one by one. The film also stars Chris Klein as one of the teachers at Shadyside and Lili Taylor, as the new conservative and religious vice president. Now streaming on Netflix
