The Final Destination franchise started back in 2000! It laid dormant for awhile but now the sixth film, Final Destination: Bloodlines, is in theaters and will no doubt have your jaw on the floor. Final Destination: Bloodlines features the quintessential opening bloodbath that the franchise is known for. This time around its treated as a flashback to the 1960s with the grand opening of the Skyview Tower. It’s essentially a stand in for the Seattle Space Needle. Iris and her fiancé, Paul, are celebrating their new engagement and pregnancy when Iris has a premonition of the Skyview collapsing and killing everyone who is dancing the night away at the top of the tower. It cuts to present day with Iris’ granddaughter, Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), having nightmares about her grandmother, Iris (now played by Gabrielle Rose), without a clear understanding of what it all means. She heads home to learn more about her family where her aunt and uncle refuse to talk about Iris and their family’s past. Stefani tracks down her grandma who gifts her a notebook full of drawings and newspaper clippings detailing the decades of mysterious deaths and tragic events. Stefani’s premonitions continue, as she tries to save her family from Death’s inevitable fate. In theaters
