HEART EYES

Director: Josh Ruben
Starring: Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding, Devon Sawa, Jordana Brewster, Gigi Zumbado, Ben Black

If you’re looking for an off-beat, non-traditional Valentine’s Day movie to see, look no further than Heart Eyes. There are a plethora of scary movies set around the fall season and Halloween but very few take place on Valentine’s Day. Heart Eyes follows a serial killer who has been dubbed the “Heart Eyes Killer” who stalks his victims on Valentine’s Day. He pops up in a different city each year and targets loving couples celebrating the big day. The film’s opening sequence features the killing of a couple during their wedding proposal and ends with smashing results. He targets Seattle this time and the local news anchors sound the alarm warning couples to stay home. Olivia Holt plays Ally who recently went through a breakup and works on the advertising team of a jewelry company. Her latest campaign misses the mark and now they’ve called upon Jay (Gooding), a well-known ad creator to revamp the campaign. Ally and Jay find themselves on the run from the Heart Eyes Killer after he spots them eating dinner at a fine dining restaurant. Devon Sawa and Jordana Brewster play Hobbs and Shaw, the two detectives working the case. In theaters
