George Clooney is a jack of trades in the industry as he’s a leading man who writes, directs, acts, produces and has won two Oscars for acting in Syriana and producing Argo. Now he’s playing one of the last great movie stars in Jay Kelly. George Clooney’s character, Jay Kelly, is everyone’s favorite actor. The film opens with him wrapping his latest movie with two weeks before the next one starts filming. He thinks he’ll be closer to home to be with his youngest daughter, Daisy (Edwards), but she now has plans to spend time traveling in Europe before she moves out. It’s that realization that he has spent decades devoted to making movies, traveling the world, living the best life but what he missed out on was quality time with his daughters. His manager, Ron (Sandler), and publicist, Liz (Dern), have always been by his side. They’re scrambling to adhere to Jay’s spontaneous move to quit his upcoming movie and surprise his daughter on her trip in Europe. The film has a strong supporting cast with Riley Keough as Jay’s eldest daughter, Jessica, and Billy Crudup as Jay’s former friend who went to theater school with him. Now in theaters and will be streaming on Netflix December 5
