LAST BREATH

Director: Alex Parkinson
Starring: Finn Cole, Woody Harrelson, Simu Liu, Cliff Curtis, Mark Bonnar

The work of saturation divers is probably unknown to most people, but the new film Last Breath shines a light on one of the most dangerous professions. Last Breath is based on a remarkable true story of survival. Finn Cole stars as Chris Lemons who is finally getting his chance to be a saturation diver. They work to maintain pipes buried deep under water. The depth to which they go, and the pressure alone, is incredibly risky if anything goes wrong. He joins veteran diver Duncan Allock (Harrelson) and Dave Yuasa (Liu) as a three-person dive team. Duncan is facing retirement due to being aged out of his career, but he’s still committed to the job. The crew takes off from Scotland into the North Sea with a small team on the ship watching and guiding the divers every step of the way. It’s not too long before there’s a mechanical failure causing the thrusters to go offline and the ship to move off track. This compromises the mission leaving Chris detached under water with a limited supply to oxygen. It’s a race against the clock to find Chris and rescue him before its too late. In theaters
