MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE

Director: Travis Knight
Starring: Nicholas Galitzine, Jared Leto, Camila Mendes, Idris Elba, Alison Brie, Sam C. Wilson, Monica Baccarin, Kristen Wiig

Kids of the ‘80s grew up with the He-Man and the Masters of the Universe action figures. Along with an animated series, they became a huge hit for Mattel. He-Man is back on the big screen for a new live action adventure in Masters of the Universe. As a young boy, Adam grew up in the fantasy land of Eternia. He was a young, scrappy kid who trained to be a warrior. That all changed when Eternia was attacked by Skeletor (Leto) who was coveting the almighty Sword of Power that’s housed in Castle Grayskull. The Sorceress (Baccarin) saves Adam and transports him and the sword to planet Earth. In present day Oklahoma City, Nicholas Galitzine plays Adam who is now grown-up working in HR and longing for his friends and family back in Eternia. He believes he’s found the Sword of Power but accidentally summons Skeletor and his minions all over again. He’s saved by his friend, Teela (Mendes), and is transported back to Eternia to find it in ruins, taken over by Skeletor. Adam transforms into He-Man, and with the help of Teela and Man-At-Arms (Elba), they try to save Eternia before it’s too late. In theaters
