Director: Lana Wilson
Starring: Taylor Swift, Andrea Swift, Jack Antonoff, Brendon Urie, Scott Swift
Taylor Swift decides to show off her personal side in the new Netflix documentary Miss Americana. The film could also be thought of as a personal emancipation from herself. Swift is front and center as she reflects on her career, opens up about her personal life in response to her career, and how she wants to move forward. Like many entertainer-themed documentaries, it acts as a career retrospective in chronological order opening with the home movies of Swift as a kid writing songs and performing to the masses and ends with her making her latest album, Lover. It’s not all roses and daises along the way.
