PRACTICAL MAGIC 2

Director: Susanne Bier
Starring: Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Joey King, Maisie Williams, Dianne Wiest, Stockard Channing, Lee Pace, Xolo Maridueña, Solly McLeod

Grab those midnight margaritas and hang onto your husbands as Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are back as the Owens sisters in Practical Magic 2. Practical Magic wasn’t a big hit when it was first released in 1998, but it has since found a really solid fan base. Sandra Bullock is back again as Sally Owens who has sworn off magic and kept the family secret hidden from her two daughters. Maisie Williams now plays Antonia who is whip-smart and studious like her mother. She’s now in med school while her sister Kylie (King) is more of a free spirit like her Aunt Gillian (Kidman). Sally works at the local library in their small New England town as she preps for her Aunt Jet’s birthday party. Dianne Weist is sublime as Aunt Jet, and Stockard Channing is also back as Aunt Franny. There’s a family curse that has been passed down from one generation to the next. If any Owens sister falls in love, the man will end up dying in a tragic accident. Kylie does not know this and professes her love to her boyfriend, Gideon (Xolo Maridueña). The next morning, he is hit by a car and falls into a coma. Kylie learns of her family history and sets out to London to break the curse. In theaters
