Tom Holland is back as your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man in the aptly titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day. It’s one of the most emotional Marvel movies to date. Peter Parker introduces the film by setting the stage of what happened the last time we saw him in Spider-Man: No Way Home. He had to make the sacrificial choice of erasing the memories of his girlfriend, MJ (Zendaya), and his best friend, Ned (Batalon), if he wanted to save their lives. MJ and Ned are living their best college life together living as roommates and have no idea who Peter Parker is nor that he’s the identity behind Spider-Man. Peter’s days are spent saving the people of New York City keeping a low-profile without his friends or family. Emmy winner Liza Colón-Zayas plays the police chief, and they have a fun working relationship. Their current issues involve the criminal known as Scorpion (Mando), but there’s a larger threat looming ahead. There’s an invisible presence, a mental force that’s greater than Spider-Man or his friend, The Punisher, can handle. Jon Bernthal is back again as the fan-favorite, The Punisher. Tramell Tillman and Sadie Sink make their Marvel debuts in supporting roles. In theaters
