THEY CLONED TYRONE

Director: Juel Taylor
Starring: John Boyega, Jamie Foxx, Teyonah Parris, David Allen Grier, Kiefer Sutherland, Charity Jordan

John Boyega, Teyonah Parris, and Jamie Foxx are a dynamic trio in the strange new film They Cloned Tyrone. John Boyega stars as Fontaine, a drug dealer, who pays a visit to a pimp named Slick Charles who is way behind on his payments. He’s played by Jamie Foxx. Their confrontation is at a sleazy motel with Slick Charles trying to smooth talk his way out of the ordeal. In a surprise move, Fontaine is shot multiple times as he backs out of the parking lot. The next morning, Fontaine wakes up as if nothing is wrong, no bullet holes, and he’s completely alive. He visits Slick Charles again who can’t believe his eyes and believes he’s singing a ghost as Fontaine is in the flesh as if nothing happened. Yo-Yo (Parris) is a sex worker under Slick Charles and finds herself caught up in this mess. The three of them find themselves on a wild adventure into an underground government lab. It’s sketchy with a lab tech stating, “We’re everywhere” in true big brother fashion. It gets even weirder for the trio when Fontaine sees his cloned body full of bullet holes on an exam table.
