WHAT MEN WANT
Director: Adam Shankman
Starring: Taraji P. Henson, Tracy Morgan, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Aldis Hodge, Phoebe Robinson, Max Greenfield, Kellan Lutz, Erykah Badu
Ali Davis (Henson) is the sole female sports agent at her agency. She’s worked hard to get where she’s at and has a tough-as-nails attitude along the way to compete with the chauvinist men around her in the office. Ali believes she’s a shoe-in to get a promotion to partner. She doesn’t get the promotion and is given the excuse that she doesn’t know how to connect with men. That all changes after attending her best friend’s bachelorette party. She has a reading from a far out there psychic (Badu) and drinks some hallucinogenic tea. She wakes up the next morning with the ability to hear men’s inner thoughts, no matter how brutal, embarrassing, or self-deprecating they are to her or the guy. She first views this as a curse but decides to turn it around to potentially win over a young new basketball player as her new client and the guy (Hodge) she has a one-night stand with.
