TRANSFORMERS ONE
Paramount Home Entertainment is proud to release Transformers One on 4K, Blu-Ray, DVD, and Digital this week. Transformers fans of new and old should love the latest in the Transformers franchise as the animated film acts as an origin story for Optimus Prime and Megatron. The film takes place years back before they were transformers when they were called Orion Pax (voiced by Chris Hemsworth) and D16 (Brian Tyree Henry). They were mining bots and best friends, and this story traces the eventual downfall of their friendship and how they became Transformers. It’s a story about friendship, betrayal, and power. Scarlett Johansson and Jon Hamm also lend their voices.
The live actions movies have received flack for being too bloated and taking themselves too seriously. Transformers One goes back to the drawing board, as director Josh Cooley and the writing team know the exact tone and playful banter they want to give the film while acknowledging the severity of where the story goes. This is the first animated Transformers movie since The Transformers: The Movie in 1986. The animation hits just the right style of not looking too realistic without looking too dated either.
Transformers One makes for the perfect stocking stuffer for any kid (or adult) out there that loves Transformers. Plus, the SteelBook has beautiful artwork.
