PAUL’S TOP 5 MOVIES OF 2026…SO FAR

We’re a little over halfway through 2026, so I wanted to look back at my favorite movies of the year so far. It’s a real treat to see directors raising the stakes on filmmaking and storytelling to drive audiences back into theaters. Some of the movies on my list are meant to be seen on the biggest screen possible. They’re reverting back to practical effects, set models, filming on IMAX and real film stock. These choices make all the difference in how we feel immersed in the movie versus watching it as an observer. I felt like I was in space with Ryan Gosling and in that Trojan Horse with Matt Damon.
