“1917″ INTERVIEWS Oscar winning director Sam Mendes (American Beauty) has made one of the greatest World War I films to date with 1917. He collaborates once again with cinematographer Roger Deakins, composer Thomas Newman, and co-wrote the screenplay with Krysty Wilson-Cairns for this visceral and immersive epic. One of their many accomplishments includes making it look like it’s one long take giving you that first hand account much like the two central characters played by George MacKay and Dean-Charles Chapman.
