PLATONIC Season 2
Creators/Showrunners: Francesca Delblanco, Nicholas Stoller
Starring: Rose Byrne, Seth Rogen, Luke Macfarlane, Carla Gallo, Beck Bennett, Guy Branum, Tre Hale, Rachel Rosenbloom
Seth Rogen has two successful series currently streaming on AppleTV+. He stars alongside Rose Byrne in Platonic, which is now back for a second season. Rogen and Byrne star as childhood best friends, Will and Sylvia, whose adult platonic friendship continues to be tested and tried in the new season. Will is now engaged to Jenna (Rosenbloom), and Sylvia is bound and determined to be friends with Jenna as well. Throughout the series, it becomes clear that Sylvia spends far more time with bestie Will than her husband, Charlie (Macfarlane). Sylvia wants to host a couple’s dinner to help build that friendship with Jenna instead of the standard awkward moments they have as the two women in Will’s life. As Season 2 progresses, it becomes clear to Will that maybe the engagement to Jenna was a bad idea. Sylvia can’t help but to get involved and make it even worse for him. Now streaming on AppleTV+
