Finding new Christmas movies that the whole family can enjoy can sometimes be a challenge. Look no further than Candy Cane Lane, starring Eddie Murphy. Murphy stars as Chris Carver who has always been filled with the Christmas spirit. He and his wife, Carol (Ross), went so far as to naming their children: Joy, Nick, and Holly. This Christmas season is a little harder after Chris loses his job due to the company downsizing. He lives in a neighborhood where everyone decorates their yard with the biggest display hoping to win the Candy Cane Lane contest. This year has a huge cash prize which would bode well for the Carver family. Chris goes to some desperate measures and makes a pact with Jillian Bell’s character, Pepper, a mischievous elf who runs a magical Christmas pop up store. Chris’ new Christmas tree display becomes a huge hit, but the next morning Chris and his family are hit with an unexpected surprise when the 12 Days of Christmas items seem to come to life thanks to Chris rubbing a golden partridge. It’s a frenzy of magic, talking ornaments, and a Christmas curse if Chris wants to save his family’s holidays and restore Candy Cane Lane. Streaming on Prime Video
