KNOCK AT THE CABIN
Director: M. Night Shyamalan
Starring: Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldrige, Kristen Cui, Rupert Grint, Abby Quinn, Nikki Amuka-Bird
From dead people to crop circles to split personalities, M. Night Shyamalan loves taking his audience on a mind bending ride. Now, he puts his spin on the cabin in the woods subgenre with Knock at the Cabin. Knock at the Cabin starts off with an innocent young girl named Wen (Cui) playing outside at her family cabin. Daddy Andrew (Aldridge) and Daddy Erik (Groff) are enjoying a glass of wine on the backside of the cabin. What they don’t see is a stranger approaching Wen. He’s played by Dave Bautista and tells Wen his name is Leonard and that his three friends have a very important job to do. It’s not long until Wen runs inside, and Leonard and his friends knock on the front door taking Wen and her dads hostage. Leonard tells Erik, Andrew, and Wen that they have to make an impossible decision, a sacrifice that could save the world. In theaters
