OFFICE ROMANCE
Director: Ol Parker
Starring: Brett Goldstein, Jennifer Lopez, Betty Gilpin, Bradley Whitford, Edward James Olmos, Tony Hale, Amy Sedaris, Roger Bart
Brett Goldstein can make you laugh and cry with his hit television series Shrinking and Ted Lasso. Now he’s turning up the charm for Jennifer Lopez in the romantic comedy Office Romance. Jennifer Lopez has made a surplus of rom coms in her career, and Office Romance is the best film she’s made since Hustlers. She plays Jackie, the CEO of Air Cruz which is her family business. Jackie is used to frivolous lawsuits coming at the company but their new lawyer, Daniel (Brett Goldstein), stepped in and surprised her with his approach to winning her recent case. Goldstein also co-wrote the film with his Ted Lasso creator, Joe Kelly. Goldstein doesn’t stray too far from himself with Daniel as he’s also charming, funny, and British. Jackie consistently finds herself the target of people wanting to bring down a female CEO. Luckily, she has Daniel by her side and the chemistry is undeniable. It’s that standard case of early dating butterflies, that giddy feeling when the other calls, and of course, keeping their office romance an absolute secret as there is a zero tolerance policy at Air Cruz for inter office romances.
