You may already have strong feelings about Fox News depending on where you fall in the political landscape. What you may or may not know about is the toxic workplace that it became for many of the women who worked under Roger Ailes (Lithgow). There were many big names that came out of there like Megyn Kelly (Theron), Gretchen Carlson (Kidman), Kayla Pospisil (Robbie) and more. Bombshell tells the story of these women along with many others who finally had the courage to take down Ailes for the disgusting behavior that he was known for. Behind the film is director Jay Roach who is no stranger to controversial topics as he directed Recount (2008) and Game Change (2012) for HBO.
The first teaser for Bombshell came out a few months ago, and now we’re getting our look at the first official full-length trailer and it looks EPIC. I cannot wait to see what this trio of actresses bring to this story. It’s one that should garner lots of Oscar buzz, but more importantly, the story of courage and speaking your truth in the workplace.
In theaters December 20, 2019
