TERMINATOR: DARK FATE

One of the best action movies of all time is James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. You’ll frequently hear it hailed as a sequel that was better than the original. It took Sarah Connor from a victim to the ultimate fighter out to protector her son, John. As Sarah, Linda Hamilton became a bad ass action heroine who set the bar high for those who followed in her footsteps. We’ve seen three sequels since T2’s release in 1991 but none of them lived up to what writer/director James Cameron brought to his movies.

Hopefully that all changes with the release of Terminator: Dark Fate that marks a series return for Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor. Dark Fate picks up years following the events of T2 and ignores what happened in the sequels. She’s not the only key player back on board as Arnold Schwarzenegger reprises his role as the Terminator, and series creator James Cameron is back as one of the film’s producers. Taking over directing duties is Tim Miller (Deadpool).

The teaser trailer has been released and it looks promising with Hamilton back ready to take charge. There’s a semi-truck chase sequences that looks very reminiscent of T2, and Gabriel Luna looks deadly as a new terminator. Here’s the trailer.
