Movie Review: TERMINATOR: DARK FATE

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE Director: Tim MillerStarring: Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Natalia Reyes, Gabriel Luna, Diego Boneta The new Terminator movie centers on Dani (Reyes) who finds herself the target of two cyborgs sent from the future. Grace (Davis) has been sent to protect her from the Rev-9 (Luna) that’s more advanced than any other Terminator we’ve seen so far. Keeping watch for the presence of any Terminators that appear on Earth is Sarah Connor (Hamilton) who tracks down Dani and Grace in hopes of saving them both. Here’s my reviewRead More →

SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON TRAILERS

SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON TRAILERS San Diego Comic-Con becomes bigger and bigger each year as film and television studios line up to tease their upcoming projects. There are no shortage of trailers and featurettes this year, so I wanted to give my first reactions to a few of them, starting with the movie I’m beyond obsessed with… IT: CHAPTER 2 The Losers Club has returned to their hometown of Derry, Maine twenty-seven years after Pennywise the Dancing Clown terrorized them as kids. An unspeakable events forces their reunion after they’ve all gone off their separate ways. Jessica Chastain (Beverly), James McAvoy (Bill), Bill Hader (Richie), IsaiahRead More →

Movie Trailer: TERMINATOR: DARK FATE

TERMINATOR: DARK FATE Director: Tim MillerStarring: Linda Hamilton, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Mackenzie Davis, Gabriel Luna, Diego Boneta One of the best action movies of all time is James Cameron’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. You’ll frequently hear it hailed as a sequel that was better than the original. It took Sarah Connor from a victim to the ultimate fighter out to protector her son, John. As Sarah, Linda Hamilton became a bad ass action heroine who set the bar high for those who followed in her footsteps. We’ve seen three sequels since T2’s release in 1991 but none of them lived up to what writer/director James CameronRead More →

Movie Review: TERMINATOR GENISYS

TERMINATOR GENISYS Director: Alan Taylor Starring: Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, J.K. Simmons, Byung-hun Lee James Cameron made a perfect sequel with 1992’s Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The two films that followed (2003’s Terminator: Rise of the Machines, 2009’s Terminator Salvation) received mainly negative reviews from fans and felt like a deviation from the world he created. This fifth entry had potential to kick things back into high gear by bringing back familiar characters with Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), her son John (Jason Clarke), Kyle Reese (Courtney), and our favorite machine, the T-800 (Schwarzenegger). As we know in this universe,Read More →
