David Fincher’s Mank leads the pack with 12 nominations. Minari quickly followed behind with an impressive 10 nominations. I was thrilled to see Delroy Lindo land a Best Actor nomination for Da 5 Bloods, and Paul Raci make the list for Best Supporting Actor for Sound of Metal. Both Lindo and Raci have been absent from the Golden Globes and SAG nominations. She won for her fearless work in A Quiet Place, but the big front runner in this category for the Oscars is Regina King for If Beale Street Could Talk. King did not get the SAG nomination.
