Movie Review: HALLOWEEN KILLS

HALLOWEEN KILLS Director: David Gordon GreenStarring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Anthony Michael Hall, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, Charles Cyphers, James Jude Courtney, Nick Castle, Will Patton, Thomas Mann, Dylan Arnold, Robert Longstreet Michael Myers is back for more bloodshed in Haddonfield in Halloween Kills. And if you saw the 2018 version of Halloween, you may be wondering how that’s possible. Director David Gordon Green’s new Halloween trilogy kicked off in 2018 picking up with Laurie Strode, the final girl played by the legendary Jamie Lee Curtis, forty years after Michael Myers killed her friends. Halloween Kills picks up the very same nightRead More →

Jamie Lee Curtis Interview – HALLOWEEN KILLS and the Legacy of Michael Myers

Jamie Lee Curtis Interview – HALLOWEEN KILLS and the Legacy of Michael Myers Jamie Lee Curtis is an icon in the horror genre thanks to her memorable role of Laurie Strode in the Halloween movies. If you’ve been following my work over the last decade, you know that Halloween is my favorite scary movie of all time. I’ve been obsessed with this franchise since I was far too young to be watching scary movies. I had the great honor to sit down with Curtis to talk about the latest in David Gordon Green’s new trilogy, Halloween Kills. We talk about having some of the originalRead More →

Movie Trailer: HALLOWEEN KILLS

HALLOWEEN KILLS Word started racing around Film Twitter on Thursday, June 24 that the new Halloween Kills trailer was attached to The Forever Purge. This lead to leaks from people who already saw that trailer and the teams at Universal Pictures and Blumhouse decided to release it ahead of schedule. I’ve watched it a few times now, and it does NOT disappoint! I will say that it looks pretty spoiler heavy in terms of explaining how Michael Myers gets out of the house that’s burning down as we saw at the end of Halloween (2018) and we get shots of some brutal kills. We getRead More →

A NEW TEASE OF “HALLOWEEN KILLS”

A NEW TEASE OF “HALLOWEEN KILLS” Imagine my disappointment earlier this year when Universal Studios/Blumhouse Productions announced that Halloween Kills would have to wait until next Halloween, October 2021 before we would be able to see it. All because of the pandemic. The movie is shot, edited, and finished, but the studio and creative team want it shown in a theater with packed house. None of that is possible in 2020. Today marked the first virtual BlumFest. Head honcho Jason Blum invited us in on a variety of mini panels and conversations regarding a variety of their up and coming movies and TV series. ItRead More →

Movie Teaser Trailer: HALLOWEEN KILLS

HALLOWEEN KILLS Director:  David Gordon GreenStarring: Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Anthony Michael Hall, Kyle Richards, Charles Cyphers, Nancy Stephens, Robert Longstreet One of the movies I WAS most looking forward to in 2020 is Halloween Kills. This should come as no surprise for readers given my obsession with the Halloween franchise. I’ve done many write ups and a podcast episode about it over the years, and the recent sequel met all of my high expectations. The excitement for us Halloween fans is sky high with the return of many familiar faces from the original film like Kyle Richards, Charles Cyphers, and NancyRead More →

HALLOWEEN KILLS – WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR

HALLOWEEN KILLS – WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR Halloween Kills has officially started filming and we’re getting more insider news about casting and some of the themes writer/director David Gordon Green will be covering. The last time I wrote about Halloween Kills was with the news that Anthony Michael Hall will be playing Tommy Doyle, one of the original kids Laurie Strode and her friend Annie were babysitting on that original night they met Michael Myers. I’ve read a few tweets by original Tommy Doyle Brian Andrews that he’s not too pleased about being passed over. With the news of the return of Tommy Doyle,Read More →

ANTHONY MICHAEL HALL JOINS “HALLOWEEN KILLS”

ANTHONY MICHAEL HALL JOINS “HALLOWEEN KILLS” Halloween enthusiasts are rejoicing with the news that the character of Tommy Doyle will be appearing in Halloween Kills. Blumhouse Pictures announced that Anthony Michael Hall will now be playing the character who first made his appearance in the original film as the little boy, then played Brian Andrews, that Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) was babysitting on that fateful night. They carved jack-o-lanterns, and she rolled her eyes at the fact he hid comic books under the couch. Audiences would go on to see Paul Rudd (yes, that Paul Rudd) play  the character in the sixth film, Halloween:Read More →

HALLOWEEN KILLS & HALLOWEEN ENDS

HALLOWEEN KILLS & HALLOWEEN ENDS Halloween fans are rejoicing with screams of joy as Universal Pictures has announced two additional Halloween films, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, as a follow up to 2018’s Halloween. Last year’s film saw the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as heroine Laurie Strode battling masked killer Michael Myers. That film acted as a direct sequel to the original 1978 masterpiece and reached massive box office success. Here’s their statement: In response to the global fan enthusiasm for last year’s Halloween, starring Jamie Lee Curtis and directed by David Gordon Green, which went on to become the highest-grossing installment in the classicRead More →
