HALLOWEEN KILLS & HALLOWEEN ENDS

Halloween fans are rejoicing with screams of joy as Universal Pictures has announced two additional Halloween films, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends, as a follow up to 2018’s Halloween. Last year’s film saw the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as heroine Laurie Strode battling masked killer Michael Myers. That film acted as a direct sequel to the original 1978 masterpiece and reached massive box office success. Here’s their statement:

In response to the global fan enthusiasm for last year’s Halloween, starring Jamie Lee Curtis and directed by David Gordon Green, which went on to become the highest-grossing installment in the classic horror franchise at more than $250 million worldwide, Universal Pictures today announced release dates for two new films in the iconic Halloween series, from Trancas International Films, Miramax and Blumhouse Productions.

Halloween Kills will be released on Friday, October 16, 2020.

Halloween Ends will be released on Friday, October 15, 2021.

Universal has announced that the entire creative team will be back in place with David Gordon Green back directing both films and co-writing the screenplays with Danny McBride. Jason Blum, John Carpenter, and Bill Block are producing both films. And yes, Jamie Lee Curtis will be facing Michael Myers once again. I am very curious to see where they take this story as it appeared Laurie, her daughter Karen, and granddaughter Alison, left Michael burning to death in Laurie’s fallout shelter. I trust this entire crew, so the end result of this new trilogy should please fans. I have faith that they wouldn’t have written two new films if they didn’t have a solid story in place.
