ORDINARY ANGELS

Director: Jon Gunn
Starring: Hilary Swank, Alan Ritchson, Nancy Travis, Amy Acker, Skywalker Hughes, Emily Mitchell

Two time Oscar winner Hilary Swank stars in the inspirational new film, Ordinary Angels. She stars alongside Alan Ritchson who veers away from his character on Reacher, to star in this true story of a single dad who needs a little bit of help in unbelievably hard times. It’s Kentucky 1993 and his character, Ed Schmitt, works construction just to make a living as he raises his two daughters. He became a widow years prior, and now one of his daughters needs a liver transplant. Due to a broken health care system, the medical bills are out of control and she’s lower on the transplant list. Hilary Swank’s character, Sharon Stevens, is a hair dresser by day but loves going out partying a little too hard at night. She desperately needs a wake up call and that comes when she hears of Ed’s story. She feels called to find a meaning and purpose in life and channels that energy into raising money for Ed and will stop at nothing to make sure his daughter gets the transplant she needs.
