SUPERGIRL
Director: Craig Gillespie
Starring: Milly Alcock, Eve Ridley, Jason Momoa, Matthias Schoenaerts, David Corenswet, David Krumholtz
We first saw Milly Alcock play Supergirl in Superman with David Corenswet as the Man of Steel. Now she’s getting her own movie with Supergirl. It’s the next big entry in James Gunn’s new DC Universe. Milly Alcock spends a good portion of the film as Kara Zor-El. She leads a rough and lonely life mainly spending time with her dog, Krypto. She’s celebrating her 23rd birthday and gets inebriated, which is nothing new for her. Her cousin, Clark Kent, wants nothing more for her than to come to Metropolis and make some new friends. She finds a new and unexpected friend in a young girl named Ruthye (Ridley). Ruthye comes from a well-known family. She watched as they were brutally killed by the vicious and maniacal, Krem (Schoenaerts). Ruthye now wants Kara’s help to seek revenge on Krem. Kara’s willingness for revenge is further solidified after he poisons Krypto. In theaters
