There has been so much late season love for CODA that I am thrilled that it’s finally getting the notice and recognition that it deserves. The cast walked away with Best Cast in a Motion Picture, while Troy Kotsur walked home with Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role. Will Smith and Ariana DeBose continued to inch their way closer to the Oscar for their wins for King Richard and West Side Story, respectively. While there has been lots of eyes on Nicole Kidman and Olivia Colman in Female Actor in a Leading Role, Jessica Chastain walked away with the Actor for her work in The Eyes of Tammy Faye.

We frequently see SAG winners walk home with the Oscar given the number of crossover voters in both parties. That being said, we saw the Best Actress race last year shake it up with different winners at each award ceremony. We could see that again this year. Kidman won the Golden Globe, and while Kristen Stewart was not nominated last night, she does have a Critics Choice and Oscar nomination. If she wins, the Critics Choice, I could see her possibly going home with the Oscar. I love when the winners are a bit unpredictable. Keep an eye out to see who wins at the Critics Choice Awards coming up March 13, 2022
