The 2017 Cecil B. DeMille Awards will be presented to Meryl Streep
Once again, La La Land received lots of love from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. I would have expected Rules Don’t Apply to do better. The Warren Beatty film only scored one nomination for star Lily Collins. Happy to see love for Nocturnal Animals with nominations given to director Tom Ford and actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson. I was a little worried that it would get passed by. I’ll continue to sing the praises for Moonlight and Manchester By the Sea, so if you feel behind, start there and make sure to catch La La Land as well. It’s a delight. Tune in to the awards presented on NBC Sunday, January 8th.
