BOOKSMART

Director: Olivia Wilde
Starring: Beanie Feldstein, Kaitlyn Dever, Mason Gooding, Skyler Gisondo, Jason Sudeikis, Will Forte, Lisa Kudrow, Jessica Williams

Olivia Wilde makes her directorial debut with Booksmart, a smart coming of age, high school drama. Molly (Feldstein) and Amy (Dever) are best friends and have always taken their academics seriously. They’re strong-willed, feminists with big personalities. They don’t have the greatest reputation in school despite Molly being class president. They have ambitious paths after senior year, but on their last day they decide to let loose. They find out Nick (Gooding) is having a grandiose party and decide to prove to the rest of their classmates that they can be both fun and smart. It’s a wild, unpredictable night that doesn’t quite go as smoothly as planned.
