DISCLOSURE DAY

Director: Steven Spielberg
Starring: Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo, Eve Hewson, Wyatt Russell, Elizabeth Marvel, Courtney Grace

Steven Spielberg has spent his career exploring what may be out there beyond planet Earth. He’s wrestling with that and much more in his brilliant new film, Disclosure Day. It’s a well-known fact that there are government files regarding extra-terrestrials, sightings, and touch down sites like Area 51 that are being kept from the public. Steven Spielberg wants to know the ramifications of what could happen if all of that classified data got dumped to into the public’s hands. Josh O’Connor stars as Daniel Kellner who becomes a target after stealing hard drives and files full of classified data. Colin Firth’s, character Noah Scalan, is the CEO of a tech company who’s targeting Daniel for those files. Meanwhile in Kansas City, Emily Blunt plays Margaret Fairchild, a meteorologist who wants more for her life and career. She has a hot musician boyfriend (Russell) who wants to settle down and make a living there. A cardinal flies into their apartment one day and makes eye contact with Margaret. This seemingly innocent encounter is the catalyst for Margaret’s strange behavior where she starts speaking multiple languages including a foreign clicking sound without any warning or understanding of what she’s doing. Daniel and Margaret find themselves on the run trying to escape Noah Scanlon and government entities out to find them. Colman Domingo also stars in the film as Hugo Wakefield, a whistleblower working side by side aiding in Daniel’s escape. In theaters
