WORKING MAN
Writer/Director: Robert Jury
Starring: Peter Gerety, Billy Brown, Talia Shire, Michael Brunlieb, Marc Grapey, Ryan Hallahan, Gary Houston
Back in October I caught the film Working Man at the Twin Cities Film Fest. It opened the Fest and I got to interview actors Peter Gerety, Talia Shire, and writer/director Robert Jury. Peter Gerety leads the film in the title role. His character Allery Parkes has spent many years working in a factory but finds himself out of work when the factory abruptly closes. This doesn’t stop Allery and the very next day, he sneaks his way back into the factory doing the thing he knows best, which is work. His actions are noticed by his wife, played by Talia Shire and fellow factory worker Walter, played by Billy Brown who many people know from the show How to Get Away with Murder. It’s now available to rent/own on Video OnDemand.
