PAUL’S TOP 10 MOVIES OF 2022

PAUL’S TOP 10 MOVIES OF 2022 It’s been another big year at the movies. I saw some terrific movies this year, both in the theater and sitting at home with the plethora of streaming services out there. There’s a little something for everyone whether you wanted large action films, horror films, legacy sequels, animation, and more. 2022 also marked my first in person press junket since 2020 with Dwayne Johnson’s DC film Black Adam. Did I mention that I became a dad?!?! That was the very best thing that happened in 2022. As you can imagine, my moviegoing was not nearly as robust as itRead More →

PAUL’S TOP 10 of 2020

PAUL’S TOP 10 of 2020 It’s a weird year to be compiling a best of 2020 list. With awards season being delayed many of the buzzworthy 2020 movies were released in a very limited capacity at film festivals and are now held for wider release until closer to voting dates in February and March. They’re still considered 2020 movies but will be released in 2021. I haven’t received all of my FYC screeners yet, so I haven’t seen certain movies like The Father, French Exit, or Nomadland yet. Without further adieu, here is my Top 10 of 2020Read More →

PAUL’S TOP 10 OF THE DECADE – THE 2010s

PAUL’S TOP 10 OF THE DECADE – THE 2010s It was a fun treat to look back at the best films of the last decade. There were so many movies that resonated with themes of self-acceptance, finding your place in this world, sexuality, topical issues, family and more. PAUL’S TOP 10 of 2019

PAUL’S TOP 10 of 2019 2019 has been an exceptional year at the movies. We saw thought-provoking storytelling with movies like Us and JoJo Rabbit. Directors Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, and Sam Mendes all pushed the boundaries of filmmaking with their latest films. We saw the end to Marvel’s Infinity Saga with Avengers: Endgame and we said goodbye to the Skywalker Saga with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Literary adaptations like Little Women and Doctor Sleep proved you can venture outside the confines of the author’s original words and still make you latch on their characters and themes. On a personal front, I becameRead More →

TOP 10 MOVIES OF 2018

TOP 10 MOVIES OF 2018 It’s that time of the year again where I look back at the best films of the year. If you’ve been following along with my trip to the movies, you may remember that I switched to doing more video reviews instead of written reviews. I decided to take that form with my Top 10 this year. It’s been an incredible year of opportunities as I’ve been able to participate in more press junkets interviewing some of my idols like Whoopi Goldberg and Diane Keaton and many more to moderating a sold-out Q&A with Timothée Chalamet and Nic Sheff for theirRead More →
