BRITTANY RUNS A MARATHON

Writer/Director: Paul Downs Colaizzo
Starring: Jillian Bell, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Michaela Watkins, Lil Rel Howery, Mikey Day, Micah Stock

In the new film Brittany Runs a Marathon, Jillian Bell stars as Brittany who is at that point in her life where she’s in her thirties and far too old to be out drinking past midnight, regularly eating junk food, and late for work every day. She lives in New York City, the city that never sleeps, and she still acts like it. This lifestyle is finally catching up to her when she goes to the doctor’s office and gets a bad report. She’s urged to lose 45-55 pounds if she’s willing to make some pretty big changes. She has that all-too-real breakdown moment when she realizes that she needs help. She starts small by running one block at a time to signing up for the New York City marathon. She has less than a year to train but her newfound energy and mental clarity gives her a renewed sense of self, realizing who and what means most to her.
