HOPPERS

Director: Daniel Chong
Featuring the Voice of: Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, Jon Hamm, Dave Franco, Kathy Najimy, Sam Richardson

It’s never too soon to start teaching our kids about protecting the environment. That’s the general sentiment around Pixar’s new film, Hoppers. Piper Curda voices Mabel, the hero of this story. As a young girl, she built core memories with her grandmother by going out into nature and listening to all of the sounds and rhythms nature has to offer. Mabel found that nature had a calming presence that would help her in times of anger and frustration. Time passes and now Mabel is 19 years old, grandma has since passed away, and now their quiet spot by the pond is now set to be demolished for a new freeway. Jon Hamm voices Mayor Jerry who wants nothing more to win over his base and build a giant freeway as part of his campaign. Mabel desperately tries to stop him and finds herself caught up in a university science experiment called “hopping” where she can trade bodies with a robotic animal. She turns into a robotic beaver and uses that to communicate with the pond creatures and save her special spot. In theaters
